Executive Director

Michelle Maikisch (MY-kish) is the Executive Director of the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) – a dynamic transportation agency serving nearly 80 million residents and visitors on its 125-mile expressway network that connects Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.

Recognized for her high-energy, inclusive leadership approach, Maikisch has positively shaped and impacted the success of CFX, including spearheading the agency’s first performance-driven strategic business plan. Under her guidance, the agency is currently executing $4 billion in critical infrastructure projects through 2028.

With over 20 years of transportation experience, Maikisch is deeply committed to delivering a world-class, integrated mobility network to the Central Florida region. She continues to drive service excellence across every facet of the organization, while building on the partnerships, policies and opportunities that will enable CFX to help keep the Central Florida region moving for generations to come.
