Paying Tolls FAQs

What happens if I miss a toll?

CFX’s tolling system is equipped with cameras that automatically photograph license plates of toll violators. If you miss toll, a Pay By Plate invoice is issued to the address on a vehicle’s registration. If the Pay By Plate invoice is paid by the due date, no further action will be taken. To avoid future missed tolls, get an E-PASS to automatically pay tolls at a discount.

What is Pay By Plate?

Pay By Plate is a toll invoice. Please see Pay By Plate FAQs for full details.

How do I add funds to my E-PASS account using a check or money order?

Please submit payment in the form of a check or money order by mail to the Central Florida Expressway Authority, P.O. Box 585070, Orlando, FL 32858-5070 and please include the license plate number and the state issued on the check. Written correspondence can also be sent to CFX’s PO address or by email to info@CFXway.com.

Checks are also accepted in the Reload Lanes.

Am I responsible for paying missed tolls when someone else drove my car?

Yes. By law, the owner of the vehicle is responsible for missed tolls connected with the use of his or her vehicle. CFX mails a Pay By Plate invoice for missed tolls to the registered owner of the vehicle.

Do I still have to pay tolls if I get on a toll road by mistake?

Yes. Failure to pay tolls with cash or via a transponder will generate a Pay By Plate invoice that’s mailed to the registered vehicle’s owner.

Can I use PayTollo?

Yes, PayTollo is an authorized third party toll payment provider. For more information about how PayTollo and how it works, visit their website at www.PayTollo.com
