Katie Delaney

Commissioner Katie Delaney has served as the District 1 Brevard County Commissioner since November 2024, following two years of grassroots campaigning inspired by a desire to elevate local voices and drive meaningful change. Her political journey began in 2020, when she became actively engaged in school board issues and quickly expanded her focus to county-wide priorities. Her experience bridges government and advocacy, guided by strong principles and a belief in respectful, effective engagement.

Her passion for transportation stems from its daily impact on residents’ lives. She believes that while outcomes may not always align perfectly, there is always a middle ground and meaningful change can be reached with open, honest and transparent discussion.

She currently holds positions on the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization and serves as Brevard County’s representative on the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council and CFX. She also holds leadership roles with the Brevard County Republican Executive Committee, Moms for America, and the Florida Republican Assembly’s Brevard Chapter.
