Project Overview
The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) is constructing capacity improvements to State Road 528 (Martin B. Andersen Expressway) from Goldenrod Road to Narcoossee Road. This 1.8-mile project includes widening both the inside and outside lanes to accommodate an additional general use travel lane in each direction, widening the outside lanes to accommodate an auxiliary lane between the Goldenrod Road and Narcoossee Road interchanges. This project also includes the widening of the SR 528 bridge over Narcoossee Road to support a future 8-lane section. These improvements will significantly increase ease of travel and connectivity for residents and visitors traveling east from Central Florida to beaches, the Space Coast and Port Canaveral.
Additional improvements include milling and resurfacing the roadway.
