The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) is currently designing a half interchange at SR 429 and Binion Road in Southwest Apopka.
This half interchange will improve mobility by connecting a northbound on-ramp and a southbound off-ramp from SR 429 to Binion Road. Currently, in order to access SR 429 in Southwest Apopka, drivers must enter and exit SR 429 by driving approximately three miles north to just north of US 441 at the SR 429 Connector Road interchange or travel three miles south to the interchange at Ocoee Apopka Road.
Design Schedule
Design work is expected to be completed in mid-2025. Construction is anticipated in early 2026 with an anticipated completion date of early 2028.
About Public Involvement
Public involvement and interagency coordination will be an integral part of the design process and opportunities for public participation will be provided. CFX anticipates holding a pre-construction meeting prior to the start of construction. Details will be posted once the date and location have been determined.
