February 12, 2026 (Orlando, FL) – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer was unanimously elected Chairman of the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) Governing Board by his fellow board members on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Mayor Dyer has served as a CFX board member since its creation in 2014 and, as the Mayor of Orlando, has a permanent seat on the board.
At Thursday’s board meeting, the 10-member board also unanimously elected Seminole County District 5 Commissioner Andria Herr as vice chair, and Osceola County District 3 Chairman as treasurer.
The CFX governing board has seven local elected officials, representing the counties of Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole, the City of Orlando, three governor appointees, and the executive director of Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise as a non-voting advisory member. It oversees the agency’s policies and provides direction over its 125-mile user-funded regional transportation network.
