Discounts On CFX Beltway Start Today

(ORLANDO, FL) Discounts for drivers who use the Central Florida Expressway Authority’s portions of the beltway around metro-Orlando went into effect today, July 1, 2015. As a part of CFX’s Commuter Relief program, approved in March, drivers who pay twenty or more tolls in a month will receive a 5% discount. These discounts are in addition to the already existing volume discounts E-PASS customers receive.

The discount will pay for approximately one day of tolls for a typical driver who pays twenty tolls per week. The discounts are available on portions of State Road 414, State Road 417 and State Road 429 in Orange County.

“We know that many commuters need their cars for their job every day,” said Welton Cadwell, CFX chairman. “This program will hopefully help save time and money for people looking for an alternative to Interstate-4 while it’s under construction.”

The Commuter Relief program was put into place in anticipation of work on the Interstate-4 Ultimate project and is designed to provide relief to commuters looking for alternatives to Interstate-4 during the estimated six years of construction.

Beltway Discount

Last year, E-PASS volume discounts cost CFX nearly $12 million. The additional discount is estimated to cost nearly $4 million. The discounts are conditioned on actual revenues trending 2%+ above March, 2015 projections for the 6 year construction period.
