The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX), in partnership with Osceola County, is widening County Road 532 (Osceola Polk Line Road) in Osceola and Polk counties. The capacity improvements are being constructed in advance of the planned extension of State Road 538 (Poinciana Parkway) from Ronald Reagan Parkway to CR 532.
The approximately 3-mile project will make travel easier between ChampionsGate, Kissimmee, I-4, and other areas within the growing region.
All project costs are being split, with one third paid by CFX and two thirds paid by Osceola County.
CR 532 Capacity Improvement Project goals include:
- Reducing congestion and delays on local roads
- Enhancing mobility of the area’s growing population and economy by providing additional transportation infrastructure
- Providing consistency with local plans and policies
