CFX, Lake County Tax Collector’s Office Enhance Customer Service with Real-Time Process for Clearing Vehicle Tag Holds Due to Unpaid Tolls

The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) and the Lake County Tax Collector’s Office announced implementation of a simplified, more convenient process for resolving vehicle tag/registration holds related to unpaid toll notices.  As part of its continued customer-first commitment, CFX has now expanded the initiative to Lake County along with the tax collector’s offices in Orange and Seminole Counties where the program has been a popular success.

Lake County vehicle owners can now pay delinquent Pay By Plate invoices while renewing tags at any of Lake County Tax Collector’s three Regional Service Centers.  Previously, motorists informed of registration holds while at a tax collector’s office were redirected to CFX to settle unpaid tolls and secure releases on holds.  After doing so, motorists could return to a tax collector’s office to complete their renewals. CFX and the Lake County Tax Collector’s office implemented the new real-time process to save their customers time and lessen frustration when informed of holds on their tag renewals.

“As part of our continued commitment to enhance services for the citizens of our great County, we are pleased to be able to partner with CFX in streamlining the process of clearing toll violations and saving time for our customers,” said Lake County Tax Collector David W. Jordan.  “Our goal is to improve upon processes and systems that will provide increased value, while being a sound steward of our constituents’ time and money.”
