(ORLANDO, FL) ̶ The Poinciana Parkway in Osceola County is now part of the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) system, expanding the road network from 118 to 125 centerline miles.
CFX Board Chairman Jay Madera announced the Parkway addition on December 12 during the CFX Governing Board meeting. CFX took over operation of the Poinciana Parkway as a non—system project in December 2018. Earlier this year, the authority sold $129.5 million 2019A bonds with the proceeds used to purchase and acquire the 7.2-mile Parkway, also known as State Road 538, from Osceola County.
E-PASS customers will soon see tolls paid on the Poinciana Parkway count toward their frequency-based E-PASS customer loyalty discounts. Drivers who frequent the Parkway are encouraged to get E-PASS to pay the lowest toll rate and accrue additional monthly toll discounts.
