CFX Board Accepts Findings Of The Northeast Connector Expressway Extension Study

On Thursday, August 8, 2019, the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) Board accepted the findings for the Concept, Feasibility and Mobility Study of the Northeast Connector Expressway Extension (NCEE). While the Board accepted the findings, no further studies or project development is currently planned.

CFX began the study of the NCEE transportation corridor In February 2018. The purpose of the study was to address anticipated transportation growth and mobility demands in eastern Orange and Osceola counties in the year 2040 and beyond.

The goal of the NCEE is to enhance regional connectivity and mobility by providing connections between existing and future east-west corridors within the study area. CFX will revisit the NCEE corridor as warranted by changes in the demand for transportation options in the surrounding communities.
