City Of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Elected Chairman Of The Central Florida Expressway Authority

City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer was unanimously elected Chairman of the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) Governing Board by his fellow Board members. Mayor Dyer has served as a member since the CFX board’s creation in 2014. Dyer has served as Mayor of Orlando since 2003.

At Thursday’s meeting the Board also unanimously elected, Osceola County Commissioner Fred Hawkins, Jr. as Vice-Chairman and Governor Appointee Board member, CFO Golf Channel, Inc. Jay Madara as Treasurer.

Other changes to the Governing Board include the recent appointments of Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks, and Orange County Commissioner Jennifer Thompson to serve on the CFX Board representing their jurisdictions.
