At its September 13, 2018 Board meeting, the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) announced that it received high marks from the Florida Transportation Commission (FTC) – meeting or exceeding 18 of the 19 performance measures listed in their Fiscal Year 2017 Transportation Authority Monitoring and Oversight Report. The Commission’s findings show that CFX is one of the top performing transportation agencies in the state of Florida.
The Florida Transportation Commission was created in 1987 to serve as a citizen’s oversight board for the Florida Department of Transportation. The Commission’s oversight was expanded in 2007 to include Florida’s expressway and regional transportation authorities. The FTC develops performance measures and objectives to ensure the authorities are operating in an efficient and effective manner, and that they are meeting their responsibilities to their customers and the public. The Commission’s findings are compiled annually in the Monitoring and Oversight Report and presented to the Governor and State legislature.
