Customers To Receive More Payment Options

The Central Florida Expressway Authority‘s (CFX) Board of Governors today approved arrangements that make it easier for customers to pay toll statements or replenish E-PASS accounts with cash, as well as conveniently resolve unpaid toll-related holds on tag registrations. Contracts with BlackStone, a prepaid service company, and the Orange County Tax Collector‘s office mark CFX’s commitment to providing first-rate customer service, one of the core priorities identified in the agency’s 2017-2022 Strategic Plan.

CFX’s agreement with BlackStone paves the way for cash customers to use the company’s service locations to make Pay By Plate and past due-notice payments or replenish E-PASS accounts. BlackStone has more than 3,000 locations statewide, including more than 1,100 in Central Florida. It is one of the largest and most respected prepaid marketing and distribution companies in the United States.

The Board also agreed to allow customers with vehicle tag registration holds to pay outstanding tolls at Orange County Tax Collector locations. Once unpaid tolls are paid at a Tax Collector’s office, customers can renew their tags on the spot and without delay. The Board’s action also allows CFX to make similar agreements with other regional Tax Collectors’ offices within the agency’s five-county jurisdiction.

Both customer-service initiatives are expected to go into effect in early 2018.
