ORANGE COUNTY MAYOR DEMINGS ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF THE CENTRAL FLORIDA EXPRESSWAY AUTHORITY

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings, was unanimously elected Chairman of the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) Governing Board by his fellow Board members at the agency’s meeting on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Mayor Demings previously served as Vice Chair and has been on CFX’s board for four years.

Also at Thursday’s meeting, the Board unanimously elected Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington as Vice Chair, and Governor’s Appointee Christopher Maier as Treasurer.

The CFX Governing Board has seven local elected officials, representing the counties of Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole, the City of Orlando, three governor appointees, and the executive director of Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise as a non-voting advisory member.
