Tolls Suspended and Modified CFX Operations Due to Hurricane Milton

October 7, 2024 (Orlando, FL) – Due to Hurricane Milton, Governor Ron DeSantis has suspended tolls in the impacted areas, including CFX’s 125-mile system in Central Florida on State Roads 408, 414, 417, 429, 451, Wekiva Parkway, 528, Poinciana Parkway and 551 effective Monday, October 7, 2024, at 10:30 AM.

CFX closures and reduced hours due to Hurricane Milton are as follows:

Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling on the road due to heavier than normal traffic volumes prior the storm’s arrival as many heed evacuation orders. Construction crews will be securing work zones and suspending activities for the storm. Road Rangers and Florida Highway Patrol will be monitoring the roads before and after the storm and assist drivers, if needed. If you do not need to be on the road, please stay home.

For up to date information on road conditions, check FL511. If you need emergency assistance, call 911 and report your problem and location. Should you come upon a stopped emergency vehicle, Florida’s Move Over law requires you to vacate the lane closest to the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so.
